Slooooooooow system giving me tons of issues. But that’s what I get for trying to run on a 10 year old Gateway with 328 MB of RAM and a CPU that shits itself at the site of Javascript. When I started this blog I was using a different PC with 2 GB of RAM, a 2 GHZ CPU, a decent video card with dual outputs, etc. And things were much easier, but that’s long gone.
I’ve started work on a new system which I should have completely finished in a few months. The reason it’s taking so long is the expense. Having been inspired by some of the OSX86 builds on various forums, I’m building an 8-core machine using a pair of quad core processors; thus necessitating the use of server components. Although by the time it’s finished it should be quite a bit more powerful than your average small business server.
I’ll let everyone know how it goes, hell, I may even do a few “build” posts once all of the components have arrived.
